For Groups of 40+
This is not delivery catering. Your chef cooks live on-site at your event — every dish goes straight from the grill to the buffet table and is replenished fresh, so 40, 80, or 150 guests all sit down to hot hibachi at the same time.

How It Works
Hibachi Buffet is built for groups of 40 or more. Share your guest count and venue, and we plan the chef team, grills, and buffet layout with you — one point of contact from first call to final plate.
Your chef typically arrives 10–20 minutes before your scheduled start time to set up. Then the grill fires up right at your venue — nothing is pre-cooked, nothing shows up in a delivery van.
As each batch comes off the grill, it goes straight to the buffet table — and your chef keeps cooking and refilling. Guests help themselves, go back for seconds, and everyone eats together: no seatings, no waiting for a table’s turn.
We bring the chefs, grills, ingredients, and sake. You provide tables, chairs, plates, and utensils for your guests — we handle the cooking, then pack up our grills and gear and take everything with us.
Buffet Pricing
The more guests, the lower the per-guest price — your tier is set by your total paying guest count.
Team celebrations, big birthdays, and reunions — the full live-cooked spread for your whole group at once.
Company parties and holiday events. Everyone eats together, and the per-guest price drops.
Our best per-guest price for conferences, weddings, and company-wide celebrations.
Every guest gets 2 proteins (chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, salmon, or tofu) + salad, fried rice & vegetables · kids 5–12 $30 (they count toward your group size for the tier), under 5 free · filet mignon +$5, lobster +$10 · gyoza $15, edamame $10, extra noodles $5 · travel $1 per mile, one-way, measured from our Stockton base in Northern California, our Southern California base, or our Nashville base in Tennessee · no deposit — pay cash after the event, or pay online up to 24 hours before · cash is the list price, online/card +8.25%. Run your numbers in our estimator — just switch it to Hibachi Buffet.
Simple & Fair
One 18% service charge — that’s it
Buffet events carry a single 18% service charge, calculated on the food only (per-guest plates, kids, upgrades, and sides — never on the travel fee). The full service charge goes to your chef team, so there is no additional gratuity expected — no tip math, no awkward envelope, nothing extra to plan for. Real examples: 50 guests → food $2,750 + service $495. 120 guests → food $5,400 + service $972.
Who It’s For
Company-wide celebrations where everyone — every department, every shift — eats hot food at the same time, on a posted price your budget can approve in one look.
Milestone birthdays and family reunions of 40 to 150+: one long table, one buffet line, zero guests stuck waiting for a second seating.
A reception station guests actually line up for twice — cooked live in front of them, not scooped from a warmer that arrived at noon.
Fundraisers, appreciation nights, and community celebrations that need real food at a per-guest price that stays sane at scale.
Group under 40? Our live hibachi show at $60 per guest is made for you — your chef performs right at your table. Same chefs, same food, two ways to serve a crowd.
Buffet Questions
Fresh — always. Your chef cooks live on-site at your venue, and dishes move straight from the grill to the buffet table in batches, so the line is constantly replenished with hot food. It is never cooked hours ahead and delivered.
40 paying guests (adults plus kids ages 5–12 count; little ones under 5 are free). Your per-guest price is set by that total: 40–59 guests $55, 60–99 $50, 100 or more $45. Smaller group? Our live hibachi show at $60 per guest is the right fit.
It is 18% of the food only — per-guest plates, kids, upgrades, and sides. The travel fee is never included in the calculation. The full amount goes to your chef team, so no additional gratuity is expected on buffet events.
Tables, chairs, and tableware for your guests, plus a flat spot for the grills and the buffet table. We bring the chefs, grills, ingredients, and sake. Backyards, estates, offices, and rented venues all work.
No — never. You pay after your event, once everyone is fed. Cash is recommended (list price, no added fee); Zelle, Venmo, and card are also accepted (+8.25%, completed 24 hours before your event). Cancelling or rescheduling is free with 48+ hours’ notice; inside 48 hours a $200 fee applies. If severe weather makes outdoor cooking unsafe and your venue has no covered area, rescheduling is free.
